The Blue Rock School was founded in Palisades, NY in 1987 and occupied an original one room school house on Oak Tree Road. Margaret Flinsch began the school with a group of interested teachers seeking a meaningful approach to the education of children. Many years before, Mrs. Flinsch founded the Princeton Nursery School that is still thriving today. Her lifelong exploration of the educational process, her insight, and her experience has led others to reexamine the role of the teacher and the nature of the educational process. It is her inspiration that has given the Blue Rock School its unique humanistic and creative approach, evident in each classroom in the school. |
